    Phil,

    Thanks for some excellent Information.

I was most impressed regarding the use of 14" square solid stations as supports and not the usual box or welded girders.

They surely weighed a great deal!!

    Regards
    Tom

    hi fella's
just thought i'd let you know that there has been a change of plan for the charioteer I was going to convert back to Cromwell, the tank was sold a few months back and the new owner wants me to restore it back to charioteer spec which will make my life a little easier :)
few pics of the ex finnish charioteer I converted back to Cromwell (driving into the yard as a charioteer and back out again a Cromwell) and the ex Lebanese tank I am working on now.

    Hi all,

Hope you don't mind me reviving this discussion. Later this summer a 1/48 resin conversion company is making a Charioteer conversion kit I have signed up to buy. I was recently reading "Warpaint" vol 3 and it got me thinking about how to mark my future Charioteer, and then I found this thread.

    Questions:
    - to Rick Wedlock, what is "HMVF" and how could I go about seeing your work?
    - to the general group, does anyone know what (Territorial Army) units received Charioteers?
    - would they actually have been painted DBG? Were the Cromwells already DBG or might they still have been in SCC15?

(edit: just found the HMVF :))
