I have been asked if I could find any info on a George Walter Lee of the Devonshire Regiment captured as a POW on the 15-2-1942 which is a bit of a puzzler because A/ the 1st Devons were still in Ceylon at that date and not committed to the front line until late 43. and B/ I thought he might have been part of the Operation Longcloth but that didn't take place until March 43.
The casualty returns have him as 13th Kings Regiment and date of capture as 30/3/43 - does that help?
