I have been asked if I could find any info on a George Walter Lee of the Devonshire Regiment captured as a POW on the 15-2-1942 which is a bit of a puzzler because A/ the 1st Devons were still in Ceylon at that date and not committed to the front line until late 43. and B/ I thought he might have been part of the Operation Longcloth but that didn't take place until March 43. upload_2021-3-24_17-43-2.png

The casualty returns have him as 13th Kings Regiment and date of capture as 30/3/43 - does that help?

I've been looking for a confirmed image of George for a while, but nothing has come along.
