A report of 99th Anti-Tank Battery states that they came under enemy air attack while they crossed on the class 50/60 bridges during the night of the 24th-25th. They seem to have crossed early on the rafts. Is this credible? Is there any summary regarding attempts by the Germans to disrupt the bridging and rafting work? I imagine it must have just been strafing runs by some night fighters.
