I have had these for a while can anyone confirm original regiments? From various sources including British Pathe.

    Cheers

April V, Aigread Sios II and I am guessing Allysloper are all the same regiment I guess as they all start with 'A'? The '40' indicates it was the senior regiment in the Brigade, it all looks very Gazalaish, so this might narrow things down?

Looking at v5 4/7 Dragoon Guards used Aigread Sios II and Allysloper, while April V is attributed to the KRIH?

    All the best

    Thanks Andreas,

I will update V6 accordingly. Hopefully that will be uploaded 1st July 2021 with 300+ names on each of the WWII and Post War lists.

    Cheers

No Grants - April V was used on a Valentine of 17/21 Lancers in the desert. Aigread Sios & Allysloper both used by 4/7 DG on Light Mk VIB's. The only Ritz I can find is on the (much photographed) Tetrarch! Which I don't think has any relationship with a unit using Grants!

Aigread Sios II, Allysloper and April V ( all race-horses) were names used on A Sqn, 8th Hussars tanks throughout WW2 (although the 1945 iteration was APRIL THE FIFTH on a Challenger at the Berlin Victory Parade). I think those named Grants pictured above were all casualties from the action on the morning of 27 May 1942.
