I am trying to find out which HAA Units manned the sites at Eastrop Farm, nr Highworth and Stubb;s Hill Blunsdon.

Can anyone name them or tell me where I can look them up?

Any help appreciated - thank you.

Not at home to check but assuming these are near Swindon, I would start with 8th AA Division diaries which seem to exist at Kew. They may tell you outright or point you to brigade diaries. May need to consider time period as site occupancy was often changed or units went to practice camps.

Thanks for your help - I have just found out that there were eight gunsites around Swindon but I don't know which Units yet. I believe that they were 'mixed' batterys with searchlights attached. Were Searchlights a seperate formation? Swindon Gun Sites.JPG

In addition to these HAA Batteries the shadow Aircraft Factory at South Marston was defended by the 220th (101st Wiltshire Home Guard) 'Z' AA Rocket Battery - HQ Stratton St. Margaret,
