Hello all -- I've frequented the forums in my many searches and have only just joined. My main interest is Korean War, which I began collecting U.S. years ago and have expanded into British and Commonwealth. That has expanded to other post-war conflicts as well, but of course with so many of these servicemen being WWII veterans I am led down that path as well. I collect named and identified items and research to the fullest I possibly can. I'm sure you'll see me posting soon with inquiries on where to look next. Hopefully I can contribute just as much as I seek. You're welcome to explore my website where I feature my efforts: https://www.rcmcollection.com/ Thanks, Robert
Welcome aboard, I am sure some here will peruse your website - especially those interested in The Gordon Highlanders.
Welcome to the site, Robert. I've made no special study of the war beyond looking into the Glosters (see here: http://ww2talk.com/index.php?thread...o-the-gloucester-valley-battle-monument.84938), but I'm currently resident in ROK with Korean in-laws, so if you need anything specific, information-wise, I may be able to help. Edit: that's a very attractive site you have assembled--my compliments.
Dear Robert, welcome. And thank you for an excellent website, especially the diverse selection that you have here; https://www.rcmcollection.com/Archives From Gordon Highlanders journals (newsletters) to Commonwealth/Empire driving licences, from Civil Defence in Old Sarum to Kenya and Korea. A superb collection of stuff, thanks for keeping it available. I don't doubt that it is, and will be, appreciated by many members of WW2 Talk. Kind regards, always, Jim.
Thanks all for the kind comments. I am happy to repost items on the forums here as I see there is a resource tab at the top. Color slides like the ones Keith posted are incredible and I would be pleased to include them as a photo set with credit to you. I have started expanding a bit like this. I think I need to upgrade soon as load times sound like they are slow and I have no intention of putting less on there. Thanks, Robert
