    My name is Dean Darvill and I joined the forum to research both my Grand fathers :

    Albert Edward Hopkins 4th Battalion Royal Northumberland Fusiliers, captured France 1940

    Thank for the replys,

    I had tried to access these documents yesterday on a geneology site but could not get the originals only transcripts.

    I hope to post specific questions in the right sub forum later today.

    Albert Edward Hopkin's Service number was 6914348.

    Posted missing on 21/05/40

    Changed a little later to POW

    Changed to not a POW in 1945.

    Hi Harkness,

    Do you have copies of the appropriate list that wold identify the wounded, killed or missing mention on the attached 4th RNF war dairy page for 19th May. I am trying to work out if the missing man was my grandfather, reported missing on the 21st or someone else.
