Hi what do you want to know

    is the box your grandfathers?

if so you have his service number and if you contact the mod medal office they will confirm what medals he was issued and if entitled to the arctic star

for £30 or free if he is still alive they will issue the service records

family do not need to wait 25 years if deceased

It is not and OR situation - just noticed that the above are one and the same person as the dates of death are exactly the same 8th Aug 1977 - interesting thought why the names are slightly different (one uses Edward only whilst the other use Joseph only)

    Hi,

The trip to New Zealand was to facilitate a loan of RN personnel to New Zealand navy - confirmed in the RN record.

The continuation of his service record up until 1945 is attached. You can see that he reverts back to the RN from the RNZN and later in 1934 he qualifies as RPO, this transfer to the Regulating Branch would have facilitated the service number prefix change to MX.
    Regards
    Hugh

Hello Jeremy. Do you mean the medals aren't your father's, and you want to return them to the family of the FJE Vincent? He was one of four children and there are two trees on Ancestry, created by direct descendants of two of his brothers. They could be contacted via ancestry.
