I researching for a very long time Lancaster ND819 shotdown 21/22 May 1944 and still trying to track down the families of Sgt E.J.Rowlands(Crosland Moor,Huddersfield), F/Sgt M.B.Rumbles(New Barnet, Hertfordshire), F/Sgt L.J.Making(Lower Quinton, Warwickshire), Warrant Officer II A.A.Jepson RCAF(Atwater, Saskatchewan, Canada), Warrant Officer G.A.D.Mould(Woodford Bridge, Essex) and Warrant Officer J.A. Porter. About Porter I know he was an Irishman no further info sadly. Hopefully some one who can help me with????

Cheers and Thank you so much for your kind help,
    Adrian

Ah.. sad - there seems to be a trend for driveby posters on other similar boards.

Hope he gets in touch again with this renewal of request.

This one is a shock to me……I went looking for more info for Alan Arthur Jepson and found it on Ancestry

The Shocking part, all these years helping people find their ancestor’s military past, and Alan Arthur Jepson may be related to my wife’s first husband family (her first husband was Killed on Duty in the Canadian Military in 1988).

Let me check into this more, to confirm his relationship and get back to you (assuming you haven’t already found the family)

OK, checked with my wife, and did some family research. Many of the people in my research are still alive, so if you need contact info, just PM me and I can share.

So, the relationship to Alan Arthur Jepson:

I can give you all the breakdown here, but gets complicated, basically my wife’s first husband (Killed on Duty in 1988), HIS brother’s wife is a First Cousin Once Removed from Alan Arthur Jepson.

Her Great Grandmother was Alan Arthur Jepson AUNT

So, my wife’s first husband sister in law, does a LOT of ancestry research and may be able to give you more information etc if you still need the help

As I said, just PM me and we can go from their

    Cheers
