Hello I'm new on here .my grandfather William Edward bland who served in the royal navy from school till he retired he was a PO PTI and was on HMS Hermione 74 ww2 .and the photo attached my grandfather is the one holding a glass and would like to know where I can get the news paper it was in as my auntie had the paper years ago

My first suggestion was to be to contact the local record office or newspaper office to see if the newspaper can be found, however I did think that the quality of the photo was too good to have come from a newspaper as they are made up of dots and yours isn't. Seeing Owen's post above I wonder if that was the source.
