Hi there I’ve been doing some family research lately, and my grandfather told me, my great granda Douglas Greig was in the Russian convoys ww2 with the Royal Navy. I found a copy of my great grandparents wedding certificate and my great grandas home address was the HMS Winchester. That’s the only Ship I know he was on, my granda and my great uncle told Me was also aboard the hood for A short period Of time but not Sure on that. my great granda was a petty officer for the Royal Navy and his name was Douglas Greig and he lived in Aberdeen but was based in Portsmouth. Would just like to find out what happened too the Winchester? Is there any crew photos or info? What did she do? If anyone has info that would be grand! Ross
