Hi, a friend at work was showing me his fathers insignia the other day and this was one of the badges which I am struggling to identify.
Hi father was 12th Devon's, Airborne and was on the gliders in 1944, but this badge does not seem to fit with any of that, please can you help?
    Many thanks

    77th Infantry Division.
Composed mainly of battalions of west county regiments, the badge depicts King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, held aloft above the water.

    From the links above

    77th Infantry Division (December 1941 – December 1942)
    203rd Infantry Brigade[35]
    Main article: 203rd Infantry Brigade
12th Battalion, Devonshire Regiment (until September 1942)

Do you have his service records which would tell you the date he joined, hopefully somewhere between Dec 41 and Dec 42
