Cheers for posting. Pic 1 looks like 1 QOCH's being that some are wearing kilts. If they are and the others are French I wonder if that is near La Bassee. Can you make out the sign on the building in Pic2? I'm wondering if its a Street Sign. pic 1 see photo more info. Cambrai ?. pic 2 Cherbourg / Rouen ? See back of photo. pic 3 is the front with street sign.

Caption translation: British prisoners who were originally housed in Trondheim in prison camps. those NCOs with darker chevrons indicate they are either a Rifle regment or a Light infantry. I've come to tis thread rather late and I don't know who the leutenant is but I'm fairly sure that the senior German officer in the General Victor Fortune pic is one Erwin Rommel.
