Is it possible to find out a soldiers name using just his service number, initial and surname?

I just found this man on ancestry. The date of birth is 14 January 1940, which is what TNA have on their catalogue under his service records, so this might actually be the right man anyway! Thanks very much!

An update- John Robertson was correct, so thank you. I am now in possesion of all the mens service records except:
Harry Frank Court, whose I have applied for today, and,
    J.J. Foggo.

I believe this to be John James Foggo 7599183, discharged 6 february 1942, commisioned as a 2 Lt. the follwing day with service number 226095, born 21 February 1916, died 2 July 1977.

I applied for his death certificate and then his service records, but received the service records for a different John James Foggo! Birth and death dates as above. From the same area as a lot of the other men listed abive (Stirling), but a different service number again: 1893157 and attached to 217 Field Coy, whereas the chap I am after should have been attached to 77 Field Regiment.

So I am not sure how to find the right Foggo now!
