    Hi

    Just a few questions about Allied Military currency.
    What exactly could you by for 15 Lire back in 1943-46.

    Was it excepted by the Italian population as currency, or was it just for the Troops to buy from selected good?

    Also if you found a bundle of of Italian Lire, not the military type were you able to use it?

    Sorry for these questions, if they have already been posted somewhere in the Bowls of this forum.

    I reallly like the wording to the back of the notes....

    The answer was precious little :)

    The notes were, however, accepted by everyone including all the civilian population.

    Page 20 of my Army Album gives some of the rates of exchange
