I would not mind if it was races but it 'Ant! it more Homophobic than anything else. If they think it is that bad why do they sell the DVDs (and why are they not rated R) Hypocritical bullshit.

Ha Fawlty Towers right, we will never show the edition anymore in which Basel blamed the Germans for starting the war, who know what the Germans would said about that :D

I have heard the BBC will replace the "It Aint Half Hot Mum" series with a re-run of The Black and White Minstrel Show series,

What a load of nonsense (B...S...). I have just finished watching the whole series and found it funny there is too much political correctness these days

I think you've hit the nail on the head mate. If they can make a few quid via the DVD boxsets then that's deemed OK, but if they just re-run the show they won't make a penny because everyone already has to pay the licence fee!

    Total BS!!

And they have to pay the buy-out (if there was one) to the actors when it is shown on TV which could be a lot.

To be fair, Love thy Neighbour attracted criticism - rightly IMO - at the time. It wasn't all that funny either.

I think Johnny Speight just got fed up with writing Alf: he always worked better as a character when we had a Labour PM, so when Maggie got in he was pretty much redundant. Plus he was seen as a hate figure by the left (who didn't get the irony) and a role model by the more neanderthal on the right - even though he was a pretty accurate portrait of a working-class East End Tory of his generation who might well have been out on the streets fighting the Blackshirts in the 30s.

Fawlty Towers is re-run endlessly here. Including The Germans.

Doesn't count. The cast were Indian so it's post-ironic (or summat like that anyway).

Still funny though. "Going for an English" is one of the funniest sketches I've seen in years.

I found the Saving Private Nryan skit offensive. Going for an English is so funny as good as the parrot skit any day.

I wish they would show the Love thy Neighbour film as my Dad has Walk on part sadly it has not been show since we have had a Video (along time).

Epic Just looked it up I can buy it online:)

That sounds like it would be hilarious. I can't find it on the net. Could you post the clip so I can be offended as well? :)

I can't find it I have looked before. An Indian Solder goes missing and US soldiers are ask to find him when they here his name they don't. I might remember wrong and for the Nyran name might be I have the spelling wrong. Was the only skit that i felt went to far.

PC is daft , "IAHHM" takes the micky out of everyone represented in it, and if anything the Indian characters have the drop on the "Breetich" all the time.
    Racist ,never funny, yes.
