The very best to you and yours, Ron. Quite apparent, from even the glimpses the forum gives, just how solid you and Nita have been down the years. Condolences, mate. ~A
Condolences and good thoughts to you and your family. May the large amount of treasured memories you and your family have be some comfort at this time.
Ron, You've truly saddened me beyond expectations today. I cannot begin to appreciate the loss, the pain you must be feeling. I've always chuckled a bit when you referred to her as "she who must be obeyed", knowing the genuine love you had for the dear lady. Sixty-six years is quite an accomplishment and I can only begin to guess at the amount of joy you two have blessed with over the intervening years. I've now had to modify my bucket list somewhat, as I had planned to ask to visit you and your sweetheart at Cockfosters when I finally, one day, made it to the UK. I'll raise a glass to Ms. Nita and to you, my friend, the next time I am with friends.
I am sorry to hear your news, Ron, and yet I am sure that in a part of your saddened heart you are giving thanks for having been spared by war to share so many years with 'the love of your life.' "Love...burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame. Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away." (Song of Songs.) Shalom, TTH
