This picture captured the moment when we liberated Weert When this picture was taken, I am underneath the bridge in a boat, checking that it was still safe.(It had been partially blown by the enemy)

    Brian,

A nice colour photograph showing the chaos of war.

Can you recall the nurse playing the Accordian?

In Jack Didden and Maarten Swaarts excellent book 'Kampfgruppe Walther and Panzerbrigade 107' on p.188 is a photo of a captured SdKfz 252 ammunition carrier being used by 'F' Battery, 4th RHA (Serial No. 1191). Does anyone have a digital copy of the photo or any more of the liberation of Weert that show vehicles of 4th Armoured Brigade arriving (I think on 26 September 1944) to relive units of 3 Division.

    Regards

    Tom
