Here's hoping it's successful and funding continues.

Glad to hear an 'official body' has stuck it's head above the parapet and offered some more assistance. Though I'm always mildly cautious of EH involvement, having known a fair few that have worked for and with them over the years.
    Some EH pages on Bletchley:
Bletchley Park : Bletchley Park : Promoting Characterisation : Archaeology & Buildings : Research & Conservation : English Heritage
Bletchley Park : Bletchley Park : Casework Programmes : Historic Buildings & Landscapes : Archaeology & Buildings : Research & Conservation : English Heritage

Looks like EH is offering foundation funding in principle, which is key in chasing addition funding. If BP can't find more they won't get the EH cash, but it's a good development.

Personally after a few simple dealings with the BP crowd, I'm not sure whether it's BP or EH I'm most mildly cautious of.

At least it is a start to build upon.
Like WotNoChad, my dealings online with BP, with regards to an Historical query, were not particularly good.
But I wish them every success, given the importance of the site and the Top Secret information that was delivered by the people of Station X.

You're not alone in finding some of the BP people rather 'odd'. Some of them come across as completely uninterested in the visitors they hope to attract (for instance we watched some chaps running colossus turning their backs every time somebody walked in, not one of them would answer any questions either), though having said that an equal number couldn't have been more welcoming.

    Good luck to 'em anyway.

    Good luck indeed.

Don't get me wrong it's a vital historic site, my only reservation is the calibre of folk running it and how in the hell they got to control such an important place, especially given the sheer brilliance of the previous occupants but also how every other museum I know is packed with highly motivated friendly souls with a few rare exceptions.
