    Spidge,its your turn.Your answer was correct regarding the maximum water depth of the dam.

    Using the U NN method gives a rough guide to the flooding potential level downstream of the dam,ie,all land at risk below 213.74 metres above sea level.

    I wonder if this method was in use during wartime.

    If I can upload the photograph of the dam level gauge board (U NN) as taken from the dam walkway, you will see what I am referring to.It is not 8 metres,maybe 4 metres but not 8 metres.As I said the dam level must be tightly regulated, but to be fair the owners have had almost a 100 years of experience with its control.

    I will have to reduce the photograph in size to upload it.

    Intelligence gathered for the Dams raid, 63 years almost to the day.
