    That bastard had it easy.
Doubtless flunkies to deal with the sodding standing-on-one-leg-and-hoping angled beams, scaffolding, a plan, some painting ability...

I had no idea one could even do that. I hope it doesn't cause disruption for anyone and thank you for giving it a try.

And he had Charlton Heston to make his work look good.

In the coming years when the film of your artistic ceiling triumph is made you'll be played by Ross Kemp :)

    Kind regards, Grafclean Matt, always,

P.S. Two coats at least, one of which I'll be leaving in!

Just encountered this problem. I use Mozilla Firefox. Earlier I was logged in to view an email that a flagged thread had an update; then it logged out. Tried adding https prefix, still worked once and out again.

vP, I thought you had made a change and things were better, but the links are the same as they were before. (Site reset...?)

Christ knows how long it takes to populate, if it does at all, or how it handles it.
URLs still at new default HTTPS.

The change doesn't appear to have fixed anything much (perhaps particularly for people using Apple/Safari).
    No idea.

More gremlins messing with the login here tonight - can login to new posts, forums, home but not recent posts.

As soon as I click on that link, it seems that I have to login again (but won’t allow the login), then when I click on one of the other links everything is fine and can use the forum as normal o_O

Been like that for me too, for a few days now, using Safari.

Both Recent Posts and New Gallery. If you edit page URL from http to https manually, it should work.

Same workaround should apply to any other forum internal link which produces a logged-out page.

    Thanks! I’ll try that.

I’m using Firefox on an Apple phone - mostly only have to login a couple of times

Tell us how you get on with that.

I didn't have any problems the other day with iPhone or iPad (which I rarely use to access forum), just on MacBooks.

Will do if it happens again - it’s working properly again now, though!

Still having problems. Some connections report certificate issues and do not login.

Does the site use load balancing? If so, are the certificates up to date on all nodes?

Logged in OK from an alert to a thread via email. Then moving to recent posts it drops out and I insert https:// which gives me access usually one thread at a time.

Conversely, all is back to normal for me on Safari. Internal links, Recent Posts and New Gallery all behaving themselves.

Tried many times in last few days - last time was just a few minutes ago - to log onto Forum using Safari on my new iPhone. Just says site is unsecure and takes me back to log on page. Any help would be appreciated.

So I'm logged in now and it is secure. The fact I get the 'site is insecure' when logging in from a new device suggests I am hitting an app server where the certificate has expired. Once logged in on a device (suggesting I'm hitting an app server that has a valid certificate), it seems to be fine going forward on that device - this is possibly down to 'stickness' of connections.

If someone reads this and is having problems logging in, could they run a nslookup and a tracert on ww2talk.com? I'd be interested in seeing if they hit the same hosting server—dist2-lax2.as22611.net or routers. But if you post it, hide your own IPs and user name.

Basically, I'm saying the issue is with the hosting company (InMotion) and its server(s) rather than people's browser settings. And people will continue to have problems logging in until it is resolved.

Update. I log in OK from an alert to a thread via email, this enables me to read that post and to view other alerts and post. Then moving to other posts it drops out and I have to insert https:// which gives me access usually one thread at a time.
