Looking for information on American War dead at Colleville-sur-Mer 1944

    I am Benoît JEANNET from Normandy. Member of French Association "Flowers of Memory", Official US representative of AWON (American WWII Orphans Network), in Normandy.
    I'm the sponsor of US soldiers buried into the Normandy American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. I've am looking for information on these men. Do you know their relatives?


    - T/5 Michael J BELTRAMI, 33458812, from Pennsylvania
    207th Engineer Combat Battalion - KIA 19/06/44;

    - PVT Robert G FAIRCHILD, 34788445, from Florida 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division – KIA 28/07/44;

    - PFC John T GLEASON, 36570025, from Michigan
    116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division – KIA 13/06/44;

    - PFC Louis V EVANS Jr, 34575072, from Georgia
    8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division – KIA 22/06/44;

    - PVT Serge DANEL, 33722853, from Maryland
    3207th Quartermaster Service Company - KIA 9/06/44.

    Hi Benoit,
    I cannot help you with this but I have one suggestion.
    Send a Private Message to Von Poop or one of the moderators (their names are in green at the top left of the Portal page) and ask them to change the title of your thread to something like
    "Looking for information on American War dead at Colleville-sur-Mer 1944"
    That way forum members who are interested in this kind of research will see the thread more easily

    Have you tried the American Battle Monuments Commission, web site, but remember that all US casualties that were returned home for family burials will not be shown.
