Thanks guys Tony that is more then I had found out TD thanks for the birth and death details I have ordered death certificate to get a hold of his record I have his medal box named as LT but cannot find his promotion. Only as sub Lt. Interesting he had merchant navy experience may have to try MN records Thanks Guys James
Note that he was passenger, not crew. He was travelling with his father. His father was born in Amsterdam and applied for naturalisation 2 March 1905
