My uncle had a rather long passage from the UK to Egypt and says the last stage was on the Sobieski from Durban, where he was in late June 1943, to Port Said. Can anyone confirm the ship's movements in June/July? Thank you, Grant

Thank you for the information. Unfortunately, it does not quite match with other information - my Uncle said that he spent his 21st Birthday (June 18) in Durban. I wonder if he was confused about when he was on the Sobieski? Was there another sailing from Durban up to Port Said? Grant
Check out the links provided TD Arnold Hague Ports database the last time it left Durban was 18th Apr 1943, never to return until possibly after 1945
Sorry, I was not as explicit as I should have been. What I meant was that perhaps my uncle had confused when he sailed on the Sobieski. Instead of sailing on it from Durban to Port Said, maybe it was from Port Said to Malta? I was asking if there were any other sailings from Durban to Port Said by vessels other than the Sobieski to tally with my uncle's story that he was in Durban on June 18. Grant
