The IWM image from the Rommel Collection, RML 344, has this text: Rommel in conversation with the French General Ihler (Commander IX Corps). Also in the group are from left to right, 1st Hauptmann Schrapler, 6th (forage cap) Oberst von Bismarck, 8th (hand on hip) Leutenant Hanke (Rommel's ADC), far right General Fortune. St Valery-en-Caux. Which means it is this photograph: rommel_panzer_7.jpg (350×257) (mymilitaria.net) Does anyone know the name of the Luftwaffe officer? He had been shot down, captured by the French then liberated. After this photo was taken he guarded the generals in a nearby hotel. Thanks Adam
