New member Research interest Operation Veritable-Rhineland campaign

Hi everyone, may I introduce myself to the Forum. Personal interest is the Rhineland campaign, also resident in the area. I/we support a small study group, meeting locally (Louisendorf) once a month discussing campaign related topics. Members are german, dutch, and british ex-RAF Laarbruch. We are looking for like-minded people (no political interests!) to research military history in the area. I enjoy looking at this forum as a neverending source of information and enthusiasm! thanks for the welcome! Your Louisendorf thread is a gem, we are currently working on a book covering the wartime period of the three so-called Pfaelzerdoerfer Louisendorf, Neulouisendorf and Pfalzdorf and any information is highly priced! We do have some additional local sources and as you rightly say, the defending german side of things is particularly hard to piece together. Maybe it would be possible to incorporate some of your research into the book, of course, with due acknowledgement to authorship!
I had a look in the past at your veritable threads, its a shame that so much went missing!

Hi Tim,
excellent coverage of the area, may I ask which ones of these sheets have defence overprints and of which dates? I believe they got reprinted about every one to two weeks with the overprint changing depending on changes to the defences. Maybe there is some scope for exchange of info. Cheers, infocollector.

nice to hear of some other enthusiasts living on the battlefield of Veritable and Blockbuster. We ( a small group of german Wargamers and hobby historians ) are living in Kraneburg/Kleve and Wesel.

It would be nice if we could visit one of your meetings in Luisendorf .
