I am very pleased to illustrate the new Memorial in Newtownards to the 13 Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers soldiers of the 70th Battalion who were killed in a German Air Raid in April 1941.

It took two years to have this completed however this proves We WILL Remember Them!

    The pictures show:-

Mayor unveiling in front of Honour Guard and Standard Bearer
    The Memorial Stone
Families of those who were killed including 2 from Houston, Texas.

Folks, as I have said before, all of you here on WW2Talk who helped with the Regimental War Diary and pictures of some of the headstones were major players in my able to get this through the various Council Meetings to a positive ending and for that I am forever greatful.
