I see The Pink Floyd's first producer and early Beatless recording engineer Norman Smith, died recently (AKA Hurricane Smith who had some early 1970's pop hits). Norman 'Hurricane' Smith | Times Online Obituary Seems he was more important to Beatle history than I imagined. I see he was a WW2 glider pilot. Anyone know more of this part of his life? geoff
There are apparently some details in his autobiography 'John Lennon called me Normal' - not seen, but: Norman 'Hurricane' Smith - RAF Pilot ? indicates his being a co-pilot on a Hamilcar, including a Market Garden association.
