Can anyone please give me any information on Oasthouse exercise (Probably Coastal Command) which took place on or about 14th January 1944. Many thanks

    A short passage:
    From pg.46 in: https://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/docume...ls/Journal-10-Seminar-Photo-Recce-in-WWII.pdf

A crash involving an aircraft en route to an exercise:
    From pg. 29: http://www.dyfedarchaeology.org.uk/projects/crashsites2012-13.pdf

There is reference in this somewhere: Norman Sheehan | Australians at War Film Archive

Hope this helps, on my searching there was very little.

Although this talks about 19th Sep 1944

It does explain what the exercise is about

Thank you all for your responses. I now have an understanding of Oasthouse and it also explains to me the reason why the Coastal Command aircraft I am interested in had 3 pilots on board. Your answers have been very helpful and they are much appreciated.
