    I half thought that (happy memories!), but it looked a tiny bit shabby.

    Perhaps the maintenance schedule lapsed during occupation...

    Most do not look like Officers to me. Could it be HQ ACC Training Centre - Army Catering Corps?

    Had never considered that possibility--thanks.

    I saw a lot of sergeants' stripes and thought they might be candidates for commission.

    A variety of headdress there. Allied Control Commission?

    To my mind Frank is right and it says A.C.C. on the back. The cap badges that are visible also look like ACC shape.
