As it's near that time of year I thought we could share photos we've taken of poppies. I'll start off with these two I took in the France back in May.
Where's everyone else's Poppy pictures? I'm sure more of you have some Here's three from near Monte Cassino, taken May 2008.
I think i've posted this pic before. It was taken close to St Lambert sur Dives, back in June. Here's another one from the same area in Normandy.
Mine are rubbish compared to other efforts but here goes. Taken by the side of the Bergues Furnes canal in the Guards sector. Taken near at the site of the Wormhoult Massacre.
Back in 1992 my wife & I were visiting Monet's house at Giverny in France. On the way back to Paris we spotted this field of poppies, an unbelievable slash of red and we just had to take a picture.
Looking back toward Beaumont Hamel from the Ulster Memorial Tower. Along the roadside near Amiens Just outside Verrieres, I think.
Not stricty poppies in the field. Took this at the Tower Hill Memorial last week, very humbling, thought it was apt for this thread. If i'm wrong, I'm wrong! Rob

Not one of my own pictures but I have never heard of this until I saw it on the news tonight. Many crosses have pictures of those who have died.
