Needing some clarification on my deceased father's training book. I assume he was a driver. Like most he didn't talk much about his WW2 time abroad. If I posted wrong my apologies.
Welcome aboard Deborah, The last line appears to be: 1 or I TW (so Training Wing) Royal Armoured Corps (from RACTR) British North Africa Forces (from BNAF). The BNAF was distinct from Middle East Forces and their area of responsibility was Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia, they acted as the 'rear area' fro the Italian campaign, with training camps, R&R, hospitals, logistics etc. The previous line refers to a course on how to drive two variants of the Sherman tank. Thank you. That explains the scorpion betting sessions he talked of. I would wonder they have scorpions in Germany, England and Italy?
