Hi, Do you know the specific cemetery in Minnesota? If so acquiring the phone number and calling may go a long way. Cemeteries will have next of kin records and may contact, or attempt to contact them for you. There are also cemetery search sites out there that may help. Wayne
Hi Wayne Afraid not at the moment, Ive sent this on to Uwe and the rest of his team its a search avenue we can look into cheers Dom
I am so disappointed. I managed to track down and contact this G.I.'s brother, I told him the story and he told me "I will pass on that." and hung up! I have passed on his address to Uwe in the hope that a letter might give him a change of heart or give another family member the chance of having them. In his defense I recognized the fact that he is a very sick old gentleman and it was probably more than he wanted to deal with.
I am pleased to report that contact has been made with Gordon Strom's grandson and the artifacts will be returned to the family in due course.
More details can be seen on Uwe Benkels facebook page including some photographs of Gorden Strom https://www.facebook.com/uwe.benkel.1?ref=ts thansk all for your help in this
