Am looking for technical information related to the Wireless Equipment carried in M3A1 White Scout Cars in Normandy by the Phantom Signals unit. There are a few black and white photos on the web... with a couple of stories from veterans, but nothing substantial. One photo shows some form of aerial mount on the side of the vehicle behind the driver's seat, another shows an operator infront of a WS52 set fitted across the rear of the vehicle. Hoping someone may have access to, or know where I can get more detailed technical information related to the wireless fit out by this unit. I know that technical documentation exists for the installation of wireless equipment into Jeeps, Bren Carriers, QLR's etc, so somewhere similar information should exist, even for a specialist unit such as this.
