Plane crash near Linton on Ouse 1942 - secret soviet mission

    I saw this on a plaque the other day whilst out walking (see photo).
    I spoke to a local who related how the aircraft crashed in mysterious circumstances in 1942 and was still officially denied/hushed up till last year...anybody on here heard of this?
