    Christian,

Although I read many books twenty years plus ago on Enigma, it always struck me that the combined French-Polish role and contribution was downplayed - including @ Bletchley Park, when visited more recently pre-Covid.

Earlier this year I finally read a British Official History of the Joint Intelligence Committee (The build up to WW2 and to Suez in 1956), which prides an excellent overview without going into too much details of Enigma and more. Just checked no mention of France / Belgium 1940.
