    Hi.
The family has asked me to track down any medal recognition for their father, who had been posted Fontainebleau around 49/51 as a Military Policeman.

Fontainebleau was the Western Allied headquarters from 1945 to 1965.

    Any assistance appreciated.

No official UK medals for serving in Europe after the war, except for the recently instituted GSM with Berlin Airlift Clasp.
This was awarded for one day's service to all aircrew, military and civilian who took part in the Berlin Airlift operation from 25th June 1948 to 6th October 1949 inclusive.
