Researching my Dad's service records and the amount of leave, in wartime, seem excessive for someone who, according to his service records, never left the UK.
    Called up September 1940.
From Training posted to - Worcestershire Regiment.
Then transferred to - Pioneer Corp - POW Camps.
Then to the Royal Engineers - No.2 Military port, 1029 Docks Group.

Apart from compassionate leave he had about 150 days Privilege leave between 1941 to 1945 which equates to approximately 31 days a year. Which took me years to earn that amount of leave when I was working.
