Hi all, I am having difficulty finding any information on some of the RASC units that my father served with in WW2. I have found partial War Diaries for his companies' time in Tunisia but can't find anything for the campaign in Europe after D Day. The companies aren't even listed on the RASC site. So, if anyone can help with any information on the following companies I'd be extremely grateful: 30 Troop Carrying Company from 3.11.42 - 31.1.43, 215 Troop Carrying Company from 1.2.43 - 20.9.45, 262 Troop Carrying Company from 21.9.45 - 25.10.45 and 11 Bulk Petrol transport Company from 26.10.45 to 17.4.46. Here's hoping !! Thank you all, Rob
There are a couple of possible diaries at Kew that cover 215 and 262 companies and for the dates you are interested in. Have you considered them?
Thank you, I have the diaries from Kew - supplied by some researchers but they only cover the period that my father's company was in N Africa. It is the European movements that I am struggling with
OK, what about WO166/1305 for Dec 43 and then WO171/2409 for 1944 followed by WO171/6244 for 1945. WO166 is suggests time back in UK and then WO171 suggests North West Europe.

Don’t forget 89coy RASC (corps tpt/transport), landed 6/6/44, vicinity of st aubin sur mer, Juno. Any info on them would be fantastic. Tac sign number 54. C/o was a Major Reeves. They had slit trenches for some weeks at Taileville, in a field just north east of a triangular pond just visible on Google maps at the village.
