    Thanks Andy!
I also wondered what LAA/TOSS/9482 and Woum.B.M..3/5081 (AGID) meant or is it just administrative gobbledegook?

It looks like "L.A.A./TOSS/9482" rather than TO55 and is probably short for "Taken On Strength S/9482" on 24/5/43.

The other one looks like WOUM. B.M. 3/5081 (AG1D) d 18 May 1943 which may mean War Office Unit Movement, Branch Memorandum 3/5081 Adjutant General 1D dated 18 May 43. The Adjutant General's department had a modern sounding officer called "Director of Personal Services", so it is the "H.R." Department of the Army in modern parlance.

A Branch Memorandum is a folder or personal file.

Somebody will come up with the true meaning, but I am fairly certain about the meaning of "B.M."
