Relative in Desert Rats Egypt

Hi,

I’m looking for info re my GG, I know he was in the unit: ‘R.A.C 4.T.S.B.D’ and at some point was a tank driver for the desert rats in Egypt.

Just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on the acronym and offer more insight into what he might’ve been up to.

He passed in recent years so I was fortunate enough to know him but didn’t press too much re his military history as I didn’t feel it was the right thing to do as it’s can be understandably difficult to recall.
