    Thank you for your email regarding the surname of Private Joseph Rorkin, NX73811.


    This has now been investigated and we are pleased to confirm that we have amended the above casualty's record to his true family name, Rovkin. As he is known to have enlisted and served as Rorkin we have also created an 'alias' entry for him in that name.


    Please note that the amended details should be reflected on our website within the next 24 hours.

    Hi,
    I was the organising teacher of this trip and this is my daughter. Prior to the trip they were asked to research a soldier around the same age as them, who died during the battle. It was something they will never forget.
