    [He was employed as a Pilot of Catalina PBY-5B. Aircraft serial number FP248 of 270 Squadron, West Africa Command. On 13th March, 1943 the aircraft took off on an operation flight. At 05.30 hours the aircraft crashed into the sea near West Bunce River, Sierra Leone. Missing, presumed killed.]
