    2-3 October 1943

    102 Squadron
    Halifax II JD276 DY-Z
    Op. Training.

    The aircraft overshot on return to base from a training exercises and while trying to go round again, crashed at 0030 hours and burst into flames near Hayton, 5 miles north west of Market Weighton, Yorkshire.
