HI, I've posted on other threads about my great uncle (and received lots of info) who, whilst attached to 6th Battalion Coldstream Guards, was posted to the Regiment of Sierra Leone and then RWAFF in 1941 / late 1942. I've already received his service record which has the basics of his postings / promotions in West Africa for 18 months in Nigeria / Ghana / Sierra Leone. I'm trying to read up on this period of his service in West Africa but am struggling to find other sources..... most of the info (including threads on this forum) tend to dedicate themselves to post-1943 when the RWAFF were in action (Burma / Malaya), by which time he'd already returned to the UK before being medically discharged back to the merchant navy. Can anyone help suggest any decent sources on RWAFF activities in West Africa during this 1941-2 period? Thanks, Paul
