Right under the noses of the Germans

On researching the city of Urecht for all things related to WW2 for my trip in a couple of weeks, I found quite a number of interesting things to see. However, I came across quite an intriguing story. A great number of headquarters and German officers sited themselves in the Maliebaan area and Dutch Hans and Linda van der Merwe supplied these residents with petrol. It was known as Garage Grund. However, it was also a local resistance HQ where they printed underground newspapers and hid Jews. The couple must have had nerves of steel but their ploy seems to have worked as I cannot find any reference to the place being raided. I have seen a few references to resistance groups being run right under the enemy's noses. Do any forum members have other instances?
