Found 3 different badges in my Dad's souvenir box from WWII. One that was just cleaned has a very smooth surface, the other one is textured and the 3rd one is much smaller and has colour (note: the small one looks silver on the picture but it's more of a bronze color). My questions : are they all authentic from WWII, all cap badges ? Again ...thank you for your help !

I’m not positive that they are WW2 made, but could be. The “worn smooth” one was probably the badge he kept for “parade’s etc”......it’s worn smooth from polishing it. My father in Law, Perth Regiment’s original cap badge from WW2 is worn so smooth from polishing over the years (he joined the regiment in 1939 until demobilized in 1946).....that’s almost all the writing on the badges has disappeared from polishing.

The smaller badge I’m “guessing” is a badge that was worn on the lapel of civilian cloths. I have similar badges from when I was in the military (Engineer badge) that is small, coloured, and worn on civilian cloths to identify the Regiment of Corps that you served in.

The badges themselves have the “Kings Crown” on top (you see the crown is rounded at the top of the crown.....so this means they were made during the reign of a King which was King George VI during the Second World War........the current Royal 22nd Regiment badge has the “Queen’s Crown” shown below (Queen Elizabeth II).....So, I’m guessing that these are “original badges”
