Owen i will check the names out next time im in the Library. Im using the names from the Carls Cam webpage which covers memorials in Cheshire so as yet i have,nt actually seen the memorial. There is an index for the local papers so im sure there may be something on the servicemen but without dates or the correct names it,s a bit hit and miss thanks for the links.

Yep... You and me both Izzy. The memorial in Runcorn is still on my 'to-do' list, it's less than a half hour drive from me. I've got the cwgc and Carl's Cam websites 'tabbed' as I type. It is a bit vague, the only clues being a probable town or county match on the loved ones listed.

    Speaking of which...
    Moulton R. 'cwgc'

    Roberts John Henry. 'cwgc'

I've done a few cwgc recces around Liverpool's cemeteries for other members, so as soon as the opportunity arises I'll get over to Runcorn...:)

I'm even closer to the memorial, it's less than ten minutes from where I live.

I'll get over there at the weekend and take some photos.

Phil, excellent thanks for that i found some of the names on the War Graves commission site but was'nt sure if it was them. The G.R.O information that ties them to Runcorn certainly proves otherwise thanks for doing that.

Phil thanks for the extra push on my research. The G.R.O information makes all the difference tying the casualty to the district. The AROH can be a bit misleading i have a Casualty called Arthur Harding who was born Liverpool athough the AROH states that he was born Manchester. Many ,Many thanks for the help you have done.

izzy, no doubt you already have searched the CWGC using Runcorn, with 84 results? If so, ignore the attachment, but it might help cross referencing some....
