Thanks to Opanapointer this link refers to discussions about the pact and co-operation between Germany and the Soviet Union: IV. GERMAN-SOVIET COOPERATION, OCTOBER 2, 1939-MAY 29, 1940
Very interesting read. I did a paper on the effect of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact on the German and Soviet cinema industry and referred to that one heavily.

Have any of you ever heard of the exchange the NKVD and Gestapo made? They swapped German Communists for Soviet Fascists/White Russians. One of the most cynical things I've ever seen.

No, but I'd be very grateful if you have any links on this! The only incidents I've heard about White Russians being handed over to the Soviets was in relation to the Cossacks at the end of the war when the Western Allies forcibly repatriated thousands of White Russians who had fought for the armies of the Third Reich. Unfortunately they also handed over White Russians who were resident in Germany for many years before the war. Stalin was very happy to get his hands on some of those.

I'll have to dig very deep to find a source. I'm pretty the agreement to do the exchange is in the reference above. One of the people the Soviets got was the leader of one of the Cossack clans (I think Zaporozhye), Georgian at least.

This is interesting, from a memo from the German Foreign Office in relation to trade ngeotiations: In the Moscow negotiations it should furthermore be ascertained to what extent our imports heretofore made from Iran, Afghanistan, Manchuria, and Japan, can be transmitted via Russia.

Obviously they wanted to see what Russia could get in terms of trade for the Third Reich to satisfy its requirements. Once war started, certain items from these countries became hard to get in terms of transport.

Some folks in Russia were very nervous about the trade deals with Germany. Stalin had a few of them shot and the issue kind of died out.

Two White Russian Generals who had left Russia in 1917 and were not part even Soviet citizens but who were "repatriated" and executed by the Soviets after WW2.
