Sgt Leonard William Hussey. para or commando

    lookin to find info on Sgt Leonard William Hussey.
    his name is on a para helmet , but was told he was commando and fought in Normandy.
    all info please would help

    Prior to D-Day, 3 Troop, 3 Commando and 6 Troop, 6 Commando were parachute trained but never deployed in that role.
    They were Army Commandos, I wonder if the Royal Marine Commandos, 'B' Troop, 46 R.M. Commando received the same airborne training?

    thank you for the info on this chap his son of 80 , as never seen the group photos or just what his dad did , , in the war .
    so thank you for all the info , well done .
